Dropped 225 on it, bent the bar, but the bench was fine. Press 385 on it regularly, and it feels solid. Used it as a stop for squats, and it was fine above 450, but not all the weight actually hit the bench.
It is super easy. You can do it. If you have a socket wrench set it's even easier, if you don't see if you can borrow one from a neighbor. It should not take you more than 15 minutes. It took me longer to go to the garage and get my socket set then it took me to assemble.Very nice quality.
: The one I bough in Jan 2022 says the max is 220.5 lbs in the instructions I was sent by Amazon and that includes the total weight of dumbbells, bar and user. However, the user manual it came with says 385 lbs.
